Okay, so I was recently trawling idly through wiki and imdb about my homeboy Wortho (Sam Worthington), because apparently he's the shit right now in big epic movies in the US (yes, the next Heath Ledger so I'm told). Seen him in the new Terminator and Avatar, and was looking at his next big thing, The Clash of the Titans.
Wiki tells me that our Mr Bellamy is supposedly doing some of the music for this movie. News to me. Could be just wiki bullshit, but it does say that Matt himself said he was doing it. Anyone know of this in an interview somewhere...? Otherwise it could be just rumour. Would be awesome though, because I was planning on watching that movie anyway when it comes out. Cos Sam Worthington is made of win. Anyone who hasn't seen him in Gettin' Square should do so.
Sorry, this is not supposed to be a Sam Worthington plug but never mind ;)
Wherein Richey sticks various things in his mouth - cigarettes, drinks, fingers, miscellaneous objects...basically an excuse for a themed picspam that is one part lolz, and one part ~*sexy*~. If I missed anything here, by all means post it. ;P

RATM for #1!!!
I actually can't believe it! Rage Against the Machine for Xmas number 1 is the best and funniest thing I've heard all week! They're currently holding fort on top of X Factor Joe right now so let's make this happen! I've bought my copy. Best 29p from Amazon I've ever spent!
This isn't some contrived stunt from RATM or their label. Its just real music fans making a point about how typically boring and obvious this particular number 1 can be. Of all the bands to be chosen by rock fans to challenge this, it couldn't be more apt for one of the most 'power to the people' orientated bands there has been in the last 20 years. Genius!! Love it and love Rage. This song is almost 20 years old and it still sounds amazing!
Can't wait to see the Xmas day Top of the Pops now (which we're on by the way, ha!), and how it will be dealt with or what will be shown.
Hopefully Simon Cowell won't rush out and buy an extra 50,000 Joe McElderry singles to keep them off!
Merry Xmas!!

I find his excitement cute. He sounds like an untrained puppy wagging his tail and peeing all over the carpet in happiness. *pinches cheek* You go Dom, you go rock out RATM! (Killing In The Name Of is such a good song btw. Love it.)
SNL Pics
( bonus, a pic from after last nights show in Seattle + another twitpic )
Who is excited? Waiting on those promos with Franco! And who's gonna try going to the taping??
THIS PRESALE FUCKERY SUCKS!
SOLD OUT IN 1 MINUTE?! DID THEY ONLY HAVE 3 TICKETS?!?!
Were all other cities like this too, or am I the only one getting shat on?
ETAL I hate the jerk faces that are selling the tickets on ebay for $200 a piece. Screw you people. You're not real fans.
I can't sleep so I attempted a mashup. It sort of works.
( Mashup Attempt )

Ok, the videos didn't upload, blame youtube, anyways, here are the shitty couple of pics I took and the uneventul gossip from Vegas:
( I WANT THE TWUTH.........WOOOO! )

"9) Muse: 'Uprising'
Lead singer Matt Bellamy was in London during the G20 protests, and wrote this song about how people feel betrayed by the government and suffer from the economic crisis. The album was inspired by George Orwell's book, '1984.'"

Xposted.
So, I recently burned a mix CD for my mom to listen to the Manics for the first time since, well, I yammer on about them a lot and she hadn't heard them before. Today, immediately after listening, she tells me "Now, don't get mad, but the singer reminds me a lot of Les from the Bay City Rollers. If I didn't know this was the Manic Street Preachers and I heard this, I would think this was a later band of Les', seriously, the music even seems like it would be the kind that would accompany his singing." So, naturally, I was LOLing to the extent of near-crying. Apparently, "Stay Beautiful" was the most Les-like, and the Bay City Rollers song "Money Honey" carries the strongest hint of JDB-similarity. Judge for yrself:
I FAIL at technology!! Can someone help me find the cheapest place to buy muse tickets(2) for the Toronto Show at The Air Canada center on March 8!? D:
I need tickets HARDCORE( I have never seen muse before!),and im a student..so I dont have all that much to go towards it. So cheapness would be nice!!
Soo I'm staring at the presale page for Muse's US dates, and there's one for Phoenix, AZ, at a price that I think I can afford. The problem is, I live in CA and am completely unable to drive freeway--I've looked up taking the train there, but it costs $117 on Amtrak and I'm not even sure where the end station would be in relation to the concert's area, so that's not the most awesome option >__>
Which is why I'm asking if anyone here lives in CA and is planning to go to the Phoenix show??? And if so, would they be willing to give a hapless, free-way-fail Muse fan a ride there? I'd be more than happy to pay for gas and stuff O_O;
I haven't bought the tickets yet, since I want to be sure I can get to the concert before paying for it (I'm veeeeeeeery broke, neck-deep in credit card debt but hey! It's Muse! XDD)and...Anyway! Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated. I've actually never been to any rock concert, and I want my first one to be a Muse one XD

However, if shameless self-promotion isn't allowed here, kindly tell me, so that I can delete this post ;)♥

current mood: amused
Inspired by me lamenting about the fact that all of my manics dreams turn into nightmares I rather thoughtlessly wished that I could have a funny dream, such as a manics porno one, instead. Thus an idea was born. Brought further into fruition through msn conversations between
